Report: Gronkowski expected to play Sunday

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to return to the field Sunday.

USA Today, citing a source, reports Gronk will likely be cleared this week and make his season debut Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

The 24-year-old missed the Patriots' first five games, including Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, after undergoing surgery to correct a spinal issue in June.
