Ray Allen visits Heat, rules out LA Clippers

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Ray Allen is waking up this morning in Miami, still trying to figure out where he wants to play basketball next season.

Late last night, there were some rumors fluttering around Twitter that Allen had inked a deal with the Heat, but that appears to just be not true.

Meanwhile, it looks like Los Angeles is not an option for the guard.

The Clippers cancelled their meeting with Allen planned for today after reaching agreements with Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups. That leaves Ray with just two options for now.

Lebron James and Dwyane Wade are heavily helping the Miami Heat's recruiting efforts, but they can only offer a three-year, $9.5 million deal, while the Cs have offered two years worth $12 million.
