Randolph man seriously injured in crash on I-95 in Needham

NEEDHAM, Mass (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Randolph man was taken via medical helicopter to a hospital with serious injuries following a single-car crash on I-95 in Needham Monday afternoon.

Mass. State Police troopers responded to the crash on the southbound side, just south of Exit 19, at about 2:50 p.m. Upon arrival, troopers found a 24-year-old, who was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy, with serious injuries.

Troopers closed both the northbound and southbound lanes at about 3:15 p.m. to allow for the landing of a medical helicopter. The lanes remain closed for about 20 minutes.

The right lane and breakdown lane remained closed until about 5:15 p.m. to allow for scene reconstruction.

The crash remains under investigation.
