Randolph man arraigned on child porn charge

(MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Randolph man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to one count of possession of child pornography.

France-Hedy "Frank" Bastien, 28, was arraigned in Quincy District Court, and a judge ordered him held on $1,000 bail. In addition to cash bail, Bastien must not use a computer or the Internet, and he must surrender his passport and have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18.

Police responded to Bastien's home with a search warrant at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said they found materials during the search and formed probable cause for his arrest.

The investigation began with information developed by the Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, authorities said.

Bastien is scheduled to appear in court April 25.
