RadarOnline.com: Bulger calls trial a ‘stacked deck’

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – RadarOnline.com has published letters from convicted mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger that he wrote to a friend after his trial.

The website reports the letters to a Bulger friend from "back home" were written longhand. In them, Bulger said his trial was a "neck and tie party" and that the trial was a "stacked deck from day one."

Earlier this month, the now 83-year-old Bulger was convicted of racketeering and conspiracy. Jurors found he was involved in the killings of 11 people.

The website reports Bulger told his friend, "They wanted (a) ‘Show Trial' and revenge for corrupting two FBI agents."

Bulger argued that he was given immunity by the FBI, but Judge Denise Casper did not allow the claim to be brought up in court.

Toward the end of the trial Bulger said, "As far as I'm concerned, I didn't get a fair trial, and this is a sham, and do what youse want with me."
