Racist signs placed outside elementary school spark outrage

DALLAS — Crude anti-immigrant signs that were placed outside a Texas elementary school Saturday sparked outrage among parents and local officials.

Neighbors found the four signs at Foster Elementary School in Dallas, according to KDFW. The signs included a Spanish slur for undocumented immigrants. Foster Elementary School has a large Hispanic population.

The school's principal asked for increased police patrols around the school. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings called the signs "disgraceful."

The offensive signs were replaced with messages of support from the community.
