"An officer had just parked the 2015 Ford Explorer on the back deck just before 11 a.m. this morning, when that officer saw smoke coming from the rear," said Quincy Police Captain John Dougan. "It was amazing how quick the vehicle went up in flames. We have computer equipment in there, we have all kinds of plastic, what's interesting is and I'll tell people this is make sure if your car's ever on fire, get out right away because they go up very quickly."
The fire department responded quickly to the incident and the fire was put out within minutes.
