Princeton man arraigned in Worcester stabbing

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Princeton man authorities say stabbed a man who later died at a Worcester party last weekend has been ordered held without bail.

Jay Anderson pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a murder charge in connection with the death of 20-year-old Boris Velez II.

Authorities say the 21-year-old Anderson stabbed Velez after an argument early Saturday morning. Velez died at a Worcester hospital on Tuesday.

Anderson, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself in on Wednesday.

Anderson's lawyer tells The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/YVLF9F ) that his client intends to "vigorously defend himself."

Another man was held on $5,000 bail for allegedly lying to police investigating Velez's death.
