BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Malfunctioning street lights in Boston's South End caused a commuting nightmare in the area Tuesday afternoon.
Boston Police said gridlock and major delays were being reported along Massachusetts Avenue, Berkeley and Herald Streets after the glitch knocked out all the traffic lights in the South End.
At one point during the evening commute, Massachusetts State Police closed the inbound side of the Mass. Avenue bridge from Cambridge into Boston.
The power has since been restored.
