Will Patrick run for president in 2020?

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- When asked, Governor Deval Patrick has said he is not interested in running for president in 2016.

But what about after that?

During a local radio show Thursday, Patrick was asked by a caller about whether or not he would consider running for the White House in 2020.

The governor responded that the "short answer is kind of," but added he wasn't actively organizing or planning. FOX 25 Political Reporter Sharman Sacchetti asked Patrick about that.

"I've been asked to think about it, I've thought about it in not very deep or serious terms and I'm not thinking about it right now," he said.

Patrick has said he wants to return to the private sector after he leaves office next January, but it's unclear where he's headed.

He is also raising his national profile by using his PAC to travel and support other candidates in races across the country.
