Tierney caught on camera allegedly making comment about GOP tracker

Congressional candidate Richard Tisei called John Tierney a product of "dirty Washington politics" after the Congressman was caught on camera making a comment that a political tracker claims was directed at him.

In video dated June 13 that was taken at a Democratic convention event, Tierney can be heard saying, "You gotta be kidding, here? We're going to get the troops to stomp him."

Tisei, who could face Tierney in the 6th district Congressional race, spoke out about Tierney's comment via a statement.

"John Tierney is product of the dirty Washington politics that has crippled our government. When his back is against the wall, he resorts to threats and lies, and our country deserves better," read a statement in-part from Tisei's campaign.

Tierney's press secretary told FOX 25's Sharman Sacchetti taping was not permitted inside the event and that while with staff, Tierney said, "Can't we get them to stop this guy?" Citing background noise, she claims Tierney's opponents saw an opportunity to convince people that he said something different.

Tierney will face Seth Moulton and Marisa DeFranco in a Democratic primary in the fall. If he wins the primary, he will once again be up against Tisei after a close race in 2012.
