Spicer told the Associated Press the White House is at a point where Trump "could benefit from a clean slate."

Associated Press sources say Spicer resigned over the hiring of New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House communications director, a move with which he reportedly disagrees.
Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will take over Spicer's duties, Scaramucci said at a news briefing Friday.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is promoted to Press Secretary, according to the new White House Comms Director.
