President Trump, top spokesman blast news media on first full day in office

In a direct one-two punch, President Donald Trump and his top spokesman at the White House accused the news media of “intentionally false reporting” to the American people about the size of the crowd at Friday’s Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an Inauguration, period,” said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to reporters in the White House Briefing Room, though he offered no numbers to back up his assertion, as he bitterly complained that the press had distorted turnout in the nation’s capital on Friday.
