One option for Trump – stop enforcing the individual mandate tax penalty

Top aides to President Donald Trump are raising the possibility that his administration may decide to simply stop collecting a tax penalty levied against Americans who don’t buy pre-approved levels of health insurance coverage, as the Trump Administration tries to reach its goal of repealing Obamacare.

Asked on ABC’s “This Week” about the possible changes through the Executive Branch, top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said the President “may” stop enforcing the mandate.
