TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey says she expects Rep. Paul Ryan will "reintroduce himself to all of America at the same time" when he speaks at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night.
In an interview with FOX 25's Sharman Sacchetti, Healey said she does not believe that Democratic attacks on Ryan's positions on Medicare and abortion are working.
Healey said "I think it's more important that the viewership tonight is going to be really large, and when Ryan was selected it was in the middle of the day. A lot of people may have seen a bit of it on the news, but they didn't get to hear the whole speech, his inspirational story. I think we're going to hear about that tonight."
Healey also told FOX 25 that she doesn't think Mitt Romney will struggle with female voters.
When asked, "Would you agree, Mitt Romney does have a woman problem?"
Healey responded, "I personally would not. I believe the policies he's putting in place are the ones that are going to help women support their families, get good jobs in this economy."
