Police: Woman steps on gas instead of brake, crashes into hotel

HYANNIS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Jersey woman crashed through the front of a hotel in Hyannis after she accidentally slammed on the gas instead of the brake, police said.

The incident occurred at The Days Inn in Hyannis Friday.

The car jumped the curb and went straight through the hotel and into a hotel room. A 39-year-old housekeeper working inside suffered a minor cut to her lower leg.

According to authorities, the female driver, 30, and her passenger had reportedly just arrived at the hotel and were about to check in before the crash. Neither of them was hurt.
