Police: Woman found in Worcester was slain

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - A Worcester man is being held as an accessory after allegedly helping to move and burn the body of a woman found dead behind a home this week.

The Telegram & Gazette reports 34-year-old Dominic Jackson was arraigned Friday at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He pleaded not guilty to accessory after the fact to murder and drug possession. He's held until a dangerousness hearing next week.

Police haven't identified the 20-year-old woman found Wednesday morning.

Jackson's attorney said he's in the hospital for a heart issue, and has asked for drug addiction treatment.

Police said Jackson told them he saw a man he'd just met beat the woman's head with a rock around 3 a.m. Police said Jackson said the man, whose name he didn't know, offered him crack cocaine if he'd help dispose of her body.
