MARSHFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Police have made an arrest in a Marshfield home invasion that ended with one victim shot Tuesday night.
It happened at a duplex home at 105 Acorn St. around 11:30 p.m. Eddy Monteiro, 21, of Brockton, is being held on $100,000 bail. He will be arraigned in Plymouth on Wednesday.
Officers who arrived at the home found three men in their 20s tied up inside. Police say one of those three men apparently struggled with the robbers and the gun went off. The victim was flown to a Boston hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Once inside the home, officers also found an elaborate marijuana-growing laboratory, two pounds of marijuana, and several thousand dollars cash.
One of the three men assaulted will be charged in connection with the pot-growing operation.
Monteiro is charged with three counts each of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and armed assault in a dwelling.
