WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Two small children were reportedly found inside a Worcester apartment where their mother was discovered dead on Friday night.
Police in Worcester told FOX 25 that a woman in her 30s was found dead inside her apartment located at 106 Green Hill Parkway on Friday night. It appears the unidentified woman died of a drug overdose.
The property manager reportedly went to the residence to collect the rent; however, when the manager arrived, the children had to let the manager inside. Once inside, the manager found the woman's body inside a makeshift closet with drug paraphernalia at her feet and on a nearby counter, reports The Worcester Telegram.
According to neighbors, the children are 3 and 5-years-old.
Police are investigating how long the children had been in the apartment prior to the discovery of their mother's body. It is believed the woman was dead for approximately three to five days.
