LOWELL, Mass. — One person has died and two remain in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Lowell, police say.
One man was pronounced dead on scene after the shooting, and two other men were taken to area hospitals, according to a release from Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Acting Lowell Police Superintendent Jack Webb.
The shooting occurred on Westford Street and Smith Street.

The incident is being investigated by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, along with Lowell Police and Massachusetts State Police.
