BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Boston are looking for a suspect or suspects who reportedly ripped off a community garden in the South End.

The vandal or vandals reportedly broke into the Berkeley Community Garden near the intersection of East Berkeley Street and Tremont Street late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Police said 42 of the garden's 44 water taps were stolen from their irrigation system.

Representatives say the garden was locked. They believe someone jumped the fence and stole the taps, possibly for scrap metal.

Nothing else in the garden was reportedly damaged or stolen.

An investigation is ongoing.
