Police: Suspect robbed Swampscott Gap at gunpoint

SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Swampscott are searching for a suspect accused of using a gun to rob The Gap on Paradise Road.

The alleged armed robbery occurred Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m.

According to police, the male suspect entered the store with a gun tucked into the waistband of his pants and demanded money. An employee gave the suspect $181 in a blue and white Gap bag.

The suspect is described as a dark skin male, approximately 5'10" tall and 180 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a tan cap, a black and red long sleeve shirt, and sneakers. The suspect did not have an accent or any noticeable tattoos.

Police said he was last seen leaving the store headed in the direction of the mall parking lot.
