Police seize $4.5K worth of heroin on Cape highway

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Wareham and Barnstable police seized thousands of dollars worth of heroin during a traffic stop on the Cranberry Highway Wednesday.

Investigators say 33-year-old Carl F. Koopman of Barnstable was found in possession of 55 grams of heroin contained inside individual packages for distribution.

Koopman's arrest on one charge of trafficking a class A substance comes as part of an investigation into the distribution of heroin in the Cape Cod area.
