Police searching for teen who allegedly drugged, sexually assaulted girl
Updated:
Nineteen-year-old Rashad Deihim is accused of drugging a 16-year-old girl and dragging her into the woods behind a local elementary school, where police say Deihim, his 18-year-old girlfriend, and another 17-year-old man sexually assaulted the victim and filmed and distributed videos of the assault on their cell phones.
Police say they were able to find the girl after a man reported that his daughter had received a SnapChat message appearing to show the victim naked. That evidence helped lead police to the victim, who was found passed out in bushes underneath a tree. The girl, impaired and unable to walk, had to be carried from the scene.
The victim was reportedly rushed to the hospital, where doctors say she lost consciousness and had to be revived.
Two of the three suspects, the 18-year-old girlfriend and 17-year-old man, have been taken into custody, while Deihim remains at large. Police say Deihim should be considered dangerous and may try to flee the state. Call Saugus Police immediately at 781-941-1199 if you have seen him.
Groups of teens have been known to congregate in the area where the sexual assault allegedly took place. Multiple residents who live in the area near woods told FOX 25's Joy Lim Nakrin that they have previously called police after rowdy teens in the woods were causing disturbances by fighting or using drugs.
