Police searching for suspects who hit car in West Bridgewater

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — Police are searching for two suspects that struck a vehicle in West Bridgewater and then fled.

Police said an officer signaled a vehicle to pull over, and it appeared to stop. However, as the officer approached, the car pulled off.

They were near the Brockton line, so the officer radioed Brockton and didn't pursue.

The suspects' vehicle struck another vehicle at Copeland and North Elm Street, said police. The person inside was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

A WBPD K9 unit tracked one of the suspects to Samuel Avenue in West Bridgewater, said police. Once in the area, witnesses told police they saw an unknown man in the yard just prior to the officers' arrival.

Police said it appears the suspect was picked up by an unknown party. The investigation continues.
