Police search for Whitman attempted abduction suspect

WHITMAN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A young girl says a man tried to abduct her from her grandparent's front yard in Whitman. No arrest has been made.

The 8-year-old girl was playing outside the house on Washington Street Saturday night. That's when she says a black male wearing all black attire approached her and tried to grab her. But she was able to escape his grasp and yell for help.
    
Residents say they have never had anything like this happen in the neighborhood and will be thinking twice about letting their kids wander out of sight.

Enterprise News is reporting that police and school officials will be meeting Monday morning to talk about security for kids in the neighborhood.
