Police search for suspect in assaults on women in Back Bay

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Boston police are investigating reports of four indecent assault and battery incidents occurring in and around the Back Bay area.

In each case, police say the suspect is generally described as a white male between 20 and 30-years-old, 5'7" to 5'10" tall, and 175 pounds. During each of the alleged assaults, the suspect wore a tan construction-type jacket.  

At about 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, a female victim told police she was walking on Dartmouth Street when the suspect, a white male, 5'9," in his early 40s, wearing a tan jacket with the hood up and carrying a plastic Dunkin Donuts bag, followed her. The victim said she could hear the suspect saying things, but she pretended not to listen. The suspect allegedly came from behind, indecently touched her, and fled on foot.

At about 10:13 p.m. on Tuesday, a female victim told police she was walking on Dartmouth Street approaching Beacon Street when she saw the suspect described as a white male in his 20s with short blond hair, 5'5," wearing a camel-colored jacket, blue jeans and carrying a plastic bag standing on the opposite corner.  She said that as she was crossing the street, the suspect said, "Do you know what time it is?" She replied, "It's 10 o'clock." The victim said the suspect then began walking closer to her, indecently assaulted her, and fled.

At about 12:42 a.m., a female victim told police that while walking in the area of 159 Newbury St., a white man in his 30s, with scruffy blonde hair, 5'10," wearing a tan jacket came up behind her and indecently assaulted her before he fled on foot.

At about 6:55 a.m., a female victim said she was walking her dog in the area of 294 Commonwealth Ave. when she noticed a white male with blonde hair about 5'7" to 5'9," 20 to 30-years-old,  175 pounds, wearing a tan construction jacket, blue hoodie (possibly a Red Sox hoodie) on a bench. The suspect started to yell at her, "Hey, hey." That's when the victim said, "I don't have any money." Police say the suspect jumped up and indecently assaulted the victim. When the victim started to scream, the suspect punched her in the head. According to police, the suspect then fled on foot towards Mass. Avenue. The victim refused medical attention.
