Police search for Seekonk bank robber

SEEKONK, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Seekonk are asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who robbed a Central Avenue bank in March.

Investigators say the Sovereign Bank located at 21 Central Ave. was robbed just before 2 p.m. on March 20. The suspect handed the teller a note demanding large bills. He fled the scene with a large sum of cash in a gold Toyota Avalon with N.H. plates.

The suspect is described as a white man, between the ages of 40 and 50, approximately 5'9" to 5'11" tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he wore a disguise that included a long, black wig, bushy eyebrows, and a long mustache. He was also wearing a winter style hat, an oversized gray or faded blue hooded sweatshirt, black and white gloves, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

The suspect was last seen fleeing into the city of Pawtucket, R.I. Anyone with information is asked to call Seekonk Police Detective Peterson.
