Police search for Raynham robber accused of stealing from Stop and Shop bank

RAYNHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Raynham are searching for a male suspect accused of robbing the Citizens Bank inside the Stop and Shop located at 36 New State Highway Tuesday.

According to police, a male suspect entered the bank at about 11:30 a.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

The suspect reportedly obtained an undisclosed amount of money and ran out of the store to the rear of the parking lot of a neighboring business. He fled in a dark colored, possibly black, four-door Saturn sedan, driven by a white female, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s and approximately 5'10" to 6'0" tall. He has dirty blonde or brown hair and scruffy facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers. Additionally, the suspect wore a dark gray Red Sox hat with a lighter colored brim, and the logo was two white colored socks.
