Police search for man who robbed Wellesley bank

WELLESLEY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are looking to arrest a man who robbed a bank in Wellesley Sunday afternoon.

Just before 2 p.m., Wellesley police responded to the TD Bank at 99 Worcester St. The man passed a note to a teller, though he did not show a weapon, and fled toward Overbrook Drive on foot.

The man is described as white, with neck-length brown hair and some facial hair, between 25 and 35-years-old, and approximately 6-feet tall with a slim build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a dark peacoat-style jacket, a brown scarf with a Burberry-type pattern, a light brown hat, dark eyeglasses and black gloves.

Wellesley, Natick and Mass. State police responded to the scene, along with a K9 unit to search the area surrounding the bank, though the suspect was not found. Police said the robbery is still under investigation.
