Police respond to pressure cooker found in East Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Officials tell FOX 25 police responded to reports of a pressure cooker found behind a home in East Boston Tuesday.

Officials said the pressure cooker was found with its lid on next to a building on Lexington Street.

An official at the scene said the bomb squad was called in out of an abundance of caution. A nearby school was placed on lockdown during the response.

SKYFOX was over the scene at about 10 a.m. A large police presence could be seen blocking off the street. Investigators could be seen looking into the pressure cooker and later placing it into the back of an unmarked car.
