PLYMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police responded to a Plymouth home Thursday to search for what are described as military-grade weapons.
SKYFOX was over the scene on Paddington Way as investigators appeared to be conducting a search in the back yard of the home.
Police Chief Michael Botieri told Wicked Local Plymouth they were called to the home by homeowner Robin Merricks about a military-grade ordinance found inside her shed.
The website reports the Mass. State Police Bomb Squad was in the process of removing explosives from the home. Nearby residents were asked to stay inside their houses, but officials say there was no immediate threat to the neighborhood.
Merricks previously lived in the home with her husband, Kirk, who is a Boston police officer. He moved out of the home in the spring after a domestic dispute.
