WEST DENNIS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are looking for the suspect who attacked a resident with a hammer during a home invasion Sunday night in West Dennis.
A female resident called 911 around 7:30 p.m. to report that the unknown man, who was armed with a knife and hammer, entered her Susan Way home and assaulted her boyfriend with a hammer. The man reportedly fled the home after a struggle with the boyfriend.
The victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man with facial hair, about 20 to 30 years old, according to a statement from Dennis police. He was reportedly wearing dark pants with a light-colored sweatshirt.
