Police release surveillance video of Jamaica Plain stabbing suspect

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police have released surveillance video they believe shows a stabbing victim being chased by his attacker.

Investigators were called to 9 Plant Court in Jamaica Plain just before 9:30 p.m. Monday on reports of a person stabbed.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. They say the attack took place in the area of 200 Heath Street. Investigators say surveillance video from the area shows the suspect chasing the victim before fleeing in the direction of Heath and South Huntington streets.

The victim was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a white man, about 6' tall, weighing around 200 pounds. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a blue shirt, black baseball hat with a white emblem on it, black sneakers, and denim shorts.
