• Police: NH men linked to 25 burglaries


    HUDSON, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Hudson police say they have linked two New Hampshire men to as many as 25 burglaries in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

    Matthew Szczechura, 29, of Pelham, and Jeffrey Lavoie, 26, of Hudson, were arrested on Feb. 18 for burglary. After their arrests, police obtained and executed search warrants on Lavoie's property.

    Investigators say they found items stolen during burglaries that took place in Pelham, New Ipswich, and Tyngsborough in Lavoie's home. They also claim they found property stolen Windham, Sandown, and Danville in Lavoie's car.

    Hudson police say that other departments have been granted arrest warrants as a result of the investigation. Szczechura and Lavoie are under investigation for receiving stolen property or burglary in Lowell, Dunstable, Tyngsborough and Dracut, as well as Pelham, Hudson, Windham, Nashua, Derry, Danville, Sandown and New Ipswich.

    Both men were held on $10,000 cash bail during a probable cause hearing on Wednesday.
