Police: NH man cashed winning, but stolen lottery ticket

DOVER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 27-year-old New Hampshire man was arrested following an investigation into the theft of stolen lottery tickets, police said.

Jamie Lanciano, of Dover, is facing a charge of receiving stolen property after he allegedly cashed in a winning lottery ticket that had been stolen from the "Quick to Go" gasoline station at 547 Central Ave. in Dover during the early morning hours of July 17.

According to police, the store was burglarized and among the missing items were lottery tickets. Detectives were able to determine some of the stolen tickets had been cashed at various convenience stores in the area.

Lanciano was seen in surveillance video cashing a stolen ticket. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in September.

An investigation is ongoing.
