Police: ‘Merrimack Valley Bandit’ may have hit Dracut bank

DRACUT, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Dracut think the "Merrimack Valley Bandit" may have struck again.

Police responded to the TD Bank branch on Bridge Street Sunday afternoon for the report of a bank robbery.

The Methuen Police Department's Twitter account said a preliminary report from the robbery suggested it could be the so-called "Merrimack Valley Bandit" who is wanted in connection with seven robberies since February. All but one of the robberies took place at a TD Bank.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
