Police: Manchester day care worker assaulted at least 3 infants

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A former daycare worker in Manchester has been charged with assaulting at least three infants.

Chelsea Blais, 32, is accused of four assaults on three separate victims, all under the age of 1.

Blais worked at the Alpha Bits Learning Center in Manchester, N.H., which has been cooperative with the investigation and has notified the families, police said.

Detectives with the Manchester Police Department are investigating further to ensure the safety of all infants who were under Blais’ care.

“She wasn't the friendliest from my experience, but nothing significant that would have prompted me to think anything horrible like this,” Kelly Ashburner, who has two children at the day care, said.

A report from state investigators doesn't include any names, but workers at the day care reported an employee aggressively handling babies, picking them up by just one arm, kicking bouncy chairs with kids in the, and even calling the children names like "dumb" and "ugly."

Alpha Bits Learning Center sent the following statement to FOX25:
