LEBANON, NH - A man accused setting a historic church on fire appeared in court Tuesday.
Anthony Boisvert, 27, is facing several charges including arson, two counts of first-degree assault and witness tampering.
"He said he started the fire there because he knew there was kids that lived there and he said he started the church fire because he was mad at God for making him a pedophile," Lt. Matthew Isham said, reports NH1.com.
While fleeing the scene, police said Boisvert stabbed two people because they had talked to police about the alleged arson.
The case will now head to superior court, reports NH1.
