Police: Man tries to pull female jogger into van

MELROSE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A woman told Melrose Police that a man tried to pull her into a van on Vinton Street Saturday.

Police said the woman told them she saw a white van with tinted windows on North High Street as she was jogging at about 9:30 a.m. As she got near the van, she said a man came out of a rear sliding door and tried to pull her into the vehicle.

She was able to get away and told police that the man got into the van and it drove south on Vinton Street.

The woman said there were two men in the van. She described them as white, wearing baseball hats, sunglasses and were clean-shaven.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Melrose Police at 781 665 1212.
