Police: Man suspected of stealing shrimp from Cambridge store in his pants

CAMRIDGE, Mass. — Police in Cambridge are looking for a man they say stole about ten bags of shrimp from a store on Memorial Drive.

The man was spotted holding a basket containing the shrimp inside the store, but when an employee approached him he said he didn’t need any help.

Shortly thereafter, the man was seen walking awkwardly toward the exit, like he had something in his pants, with an empty basket. Employees told police they approached him, but he told them not to touch him and then said he had a knife.

The suspect is a black male in his 40s, around 5’8” tall. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, gray sweatpants, and a black beanie. Employees said he left the area on a black or gray 10-speed bicycle.
