Police: Man beaten, left in middle of Fitchburg street

FITCHBURG, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 58-year-old beating victim was flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center after he was beaten and found in the middle of Washington Street in Fitchburg Thursday afternoon.

Paramedics found the man in the area of 6 Washington St. at about 4:45 p.m. He had facial and head traumas and lost consciousness while being treated, reports The Sentinel and Enterprise.

The victim was taken to a Leominster hospital where he was stabilized and flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
