HYANNIS (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – A 26-year-old Hyannis man was
arrested on Friday night for heroin possession and resisting arrest following a
three month drug investigation.
Police went to Anthony Silva's home on Pitcher's Way to execute a search
warrant on Friday night; however, when police went to confront the suspect, Silva
reportedly brandished a machete, reports The Cape Cod Times.
Silva attempted to flee the scene, but was detained inside the residence
and disarmed.
Police seized $2,000 worth of suspected heroin and $1,500 cash from the scene.
Silva is scheduled to be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Monday.
