Police investigating strange messages spray painted on Milford High School

MILFORD, Mass. — Two students were responsible for disturbing messages spray painted on the outside of Milford High School, according to the police chief.

The graffiti contained no specific threat, but the messages spray painted on Milford High School early Tuesday morning were no less unsettling.

The following messages were found spray painted on the school's campus:

  • "They can't help us Could've helped us"
  • "Mhs accepts rape"
  • "No help here"
  • "School gone wrong"
  • "What security"

The school resource officers investigated the messages and reported to police that a 17-year-old female and a 16-year-old male were responsible for the graffiti.

Milford Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin says the graffiti was discovered around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, but he says it was painted around 3 a.m.

“One of the juveniles had come from a playground in town and he had spray painted there as well,” Chief O’Loughlin said.

There are numerous spots of vandalism on the football field, the press box and what appears to be a utility building.

A concerned parent sent Boston 25 News a photo of a message painted on the front of the school.

When our camera arrived there Tuesday afternoon, that message was already painted over.

The chief says they are still interviewing the students to determine the meaning behind the messages.

He says the two juveniles do attend Milford High School and will be charged with vandalism.
