1 dead, 2 seriously injured in what police believe are connected stabbings

MILLIS, Mass. — Two people were stabbed at a Millis restaurant Saturday night and police believe it is connected to another stabbing in Needham earlier in the day.

The stabbing in Needham killed a young woman, said police.

Around 7 p.m. Saturday, police were called to Primavera Restaurant on Pleasant Street for the report of a domestic incident. Officers found a husband and wife suffering from serious stab wounds. The woman was taken to Boston hospital and the husband was taken to a local hospital; both remain in serious condition.

Police said they have made an arrest for the stabbing of the husband and wife, but did not provide further details.

Police described the incidents as 'continuing to unfold," and the Millis Police, Needham Police and Norfolk District Attorney's Office are jointly investigating.

A press conference is scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the Needham Police Department. Boston 25 News will stream the news conference online.
