Police investigate two sexual assaults in Roxbury

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Boston Police are investigating two sexual assaults that reportedly occurred over the weekend in Roxbury.

Police say the first incident occurred on Saturday at about 11:26 a.m. in the area of Columbus Ave and Washington Street. A woman told police she was approached by a suspect and they began a conversation. The woman claims the suspect led her to an abandoned property on Washington Street and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The second incident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. on Sunday in the same area. The victim in this case claims she met the suspect earlier in the week and they agreed to meet later in the week. The victim claims she was also led to an abandoned building where she was sexually assaulted.

In the first case, the suspect is described as a black man in his thirties, clean shaven, between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, and weighing about 150 to 200 pounds. At the time of the alleged assault, the man was wearing a dark knit watchman's style cap, a blue jacket with a green colored under collar, light pants, and dark colored sneakers with a white tip and side stripe.

The suspect in the second case is also described as a black man in his thirties who was clean shaven and approximately 200 pounds, standing about 5'9" to 5'10" tall. He was wearing a blue winter hat, blue winter jacket, dark pants, and black boots at the time of the alleged assault.
