CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Mass. State Police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred at John F. Kennedy Park in Cambridge Saturday night.
The stabbing occurred at about 8 p.m. not far from Harvard Stadium where the university's football team was playing Brown University. The Harvard University Police Dept. sent an alert regarding the stabbing to students at about 8:30 p.m.
Police said it appears the victim knows the suspect, but is not providing any information about the alleged crime.
As a result of the stabbing, authorities have stepped up patrols in the area.
On Sept. 8, a man was stabbed multiple times near the intersection of Memorial Drive and JFK Street, just outside of John F. Kennedy Park, reports The Crimson.
Because the incident occurred on state property, Mass. State Police are handling the investigation.
