Police investigate shooting of Worcester teenager

WORCESTER (AP) - Worcester police continue to investigate the weekend shooting of a 15-year-old boy.

Police say the boy was shot in the hand early Saturday morning by someone driving past in a vehicle.

Police learned about the shooting when they responded to St. Vincent Hospital.

The boy said he had been at a house party earlier, then left with two others and was shot as he walked home.

After being shot he continued home, where a family member drove him to the hospital.

In response to the shooting, police have stepped up patrols in the neighborhood
