Police investigate report of attempted abduction in Salem, N.H.


SALEM, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) — A 14-year-old girl told police that a man attempted to abduct her on Lou Avenue in Salem, N.H. Wednesday morning.

According to police, the girl was waiting for the bus at Lou Avenue, which is off of School Street, when a man tried to coax her into his car at 7:15 a.m. She said the man claimed to know her parents and offered her a ride to school.

The girl declined the offer and called her father, who then called police.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect, who is described as a man in his 30s with orange hair and mousy facial features. The girl said he was wearing a green button-down shirt and was driving a white four-door sedan that she believes had New Hampshire license plates.
