Police investigate double shooting in Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police are investigating a double shooting in Lowell.
    
According to the Lowell Sun, one man was shot outside 511 Lawrence St. overnight. A second victim was found on nearby Whipple Street suffering from a gunshot wound.
    
The newspaper reports witnesses told police that some suspects ran into a nearby home.

Medical helicopters were called in to transport the victims to Boston hospitals. Their conditions are not known and it's not clear whether anyone has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
